The training event took place at Chania, Greece from 30/10/2023 until 2/11/2023. It was hosted by Mavromataki - Mitera Private School. It was combined with the transnational project meeting that discussed the project evolution and set the timeline for finalization of project results and development of the m2-cm training program.
The opening of the event was attended by important stakeholders and local authorities and included an ice-breaker activities exploring the relation between music and mathematical sequences through structured patterns.
Several lesson plans were implemented in the form of workshops with the participation of students from the three participating schools (Sweden, Cyprus, Greece): Montessori Maths, teaching fractions, songwriting for mathematics, dancing with geometric shapes, demonstrating traditional Cretan games, parallel athletic activities and an escape room titled “Who killed our school’s gardener?”.
An educational trip was organized to Askyfou, where the participating teachers and students attended a ceramic workshop and visited the nearby folklore museum.
During the last day of the event, a study visit was organized to the Technical University of Crete where the students and their teachers attended a creativity workshop organized by the TIE/TUC lab of the School of Architecture, visited the SenseLab and the TUC/MUSIC labs where they various digital technologies were demonstrated including specialized drones and serious games.
